WATERMELON.

So this is the first piece I have submitted in a loooong looong time--I don't even remember how long--that I really consider a part of my gallery... not in terms of quality but just of motivation and feel. (I cannot explain this properly. Maybe you'll understand though.)

I like the colour and the hair.

I don't like... the sword (ick), neck...um.. other stuff but whatever.

It was supposed to be a speedpaint but then it ended up taking me 2.5 hours! I will try to paint faster next time I do a speedpaint >.<.

Time: 2.5 Hours
Tools: pencil (prelim sketch), photoshop CS, LOVELOVE

p.s. I think I'm over my anime-art phase. I wanted to just finish up this sketch. Actually I don't like the sketch at all but it turned out better after I coloured it. I might submit 1 or 2 more anime pieces that are in progress... maybe less in the future. -wants to go back to dragonssss:heart:-

Cool character design! I like her hair and the colors, too. :nod: Although her eyes are very pretty as well. And the water doesn't look bad. It looks kinda neat that way. :D

I like this painting. Putting more detail in the sword might help, but I love the clothes and the hair. Great job :clap:

I really like the outfit and the background, its really awesome ^^ Im loving the colour scheme... the sword is the only thing that looks slightly weird here, but I like it =)

Thanks! Ahh, more detail might kill me though. I was hoping to do a speed-paint... and then ended up taking too long and being late for night class x__x

it IS really wierd. She is holding the hilt with one hand and the sheath with the other.
