I have been living away from home for this month, and I drew this for the 8 year old kid whose family I've been staying with in Mississauga. He's really obsessed with Pokemon games, and he requested I draw this Kyogre.
I'm not sure if this is anime or game fanart. He likes the games... so I guess it can be put in that
I tried to paint without the lineart this time. I think it would have been alright if the kyogre wasn't so plain in comparison to the background. On the other hand, I really like the background I did and I'll probably reuse it with a more complicated character, or try to replicate it again sometime because I"m lazy with backgrounds...and plus I need to hurry up and make more pictures for prints to sell possibly at AnimeNorth next year!
I heart underwater scenes ^^
Kyogre (c) Pokemon people
(EDIT: Okay, the picture should load a lot faster now. Also, I didn't like how this looked on another monitor so I edited the background a bit to make it a bit clearer)
OMG this is amazing. I'm just completely in love with the background and the ice shards... and even the lighting job you did on the character... it's all awesome! 83
Thank you muchly, Tiikay-!
Yes.. I actually like the background too for once xD. It didn't take long either, with just a thin brush and some smudging ^^
The shininess of the rocks look great making it seem like Kyogre 'glows' within the other parts of the picture. x3 I also liked that you drew his gill~~ Well done man, well done.
